[He smiles though as he sends it, dropping down on thr couch to wait for him. He'd said his room, sure, but he can pretend its just easier and not those hints of anxiety getting to him.]

[It's about 20 minutes later when there's a knock on Ben's door, choosing to not respond directly to the text. In one hand he has a case of alcoholic rootbeer, and in the other some cream soda. Figured he'd get one of each depending on how the evening goes. He's looking forward to just chilling out though. He knows it's been a lot for most of the LIErs, and he could use the down time himself.]

[ There's little hesitation before the door is opened. Ben smiles, not trying to hide how glad he is to see Steve.]

I'm glad you came.

[Taking one of the cases, he leans in to brush his mouth against Steve's with a soft sound of contentment. Drawing back only to step back with a nod.]

Come on in.

[He can't help but look him over with a little bit of a smirk when he opens the door and lets him in.]

How could I say no? [He kisses him back, humming against him.]

I'm just glad you didn't.

[Just having Steve there makes him smile, setting the sodas on a table and gesturing for Steve to do the same. ]

So I'm going to admit, I had ulterior motives in inviting you here. Mostly I plan on dragging you to the bedroom and curling up with you, probably making out with you too. At least until you object and force me to let you go.

Yeah, I figured. [But he's still here, and following behind to put the other case on the table. He grabs one of the alcoholic ones before popping it open with a grin.]

I just have to check on someone later, but you have me all evening. [For whatever he wanted. Steve takes a quick swing before leaning on the molding and looking Ben over. He would gladly oblige him.]

Whenever you need to go. Hope they're okay though.

[ Even as he says it, he steps in closer to Steve. Just admiring how he looks like that, sliding his hand along his waist and tugging at the hem of his shirt. Just so he can brush his fingers along bare skin beneath it. ]

I'm just really glad you're here. I really didn't want to be alone.

[ Even as he presses in close, he nuzzles at the line of Steve's jaw, pressing soft kisses along his skin.]

[He draws in closer, happy to be that sort of comfort that Ben needs. Since learning what all he went through in the pit, Steve can't deny him this. It sounded horrific, and he doesn't need to tell him more about it, but he's clear by how fast Steve got here, he does care. His own arm wraps around him to keep his body pressed in as he feels his fingers skate across skin.]

They're in a coma. I just like to check in before I end up back home. So I don't really care how long you need me. I can stay til you pass out. [Preferably from exhaustion and being fully satiated.

He hums against the feeling of him kissing along his jaw, happy to let him do as he pleases right now. If it gets him this extra affection.]

[ Steve's arms around him bring a sort of release in tension as he sighs against the other's skin. This is just what he needs. Pressing a kiss to the corner of Steve's mouth before drawing back, frowning at him. ]

Shit. I'm sorry. They're going to be okay, right? I mean, that's what everyone says.

[ He's heard about them but that doesn't make it any more comforting. Not with the things so many have been through lately. ]

She should be, yeah. I know a couple people that have been through it and are fine. [He's worried of course. It's been weeks actually, but he can't do anything but check in on her for a few hours a day. Sometimes he sleeps there, but it's depressing, and honestly he would rather be here right now than worried about Blair. He likes to do things about his problems after all, not sit around and wait.]

It's alright though. I can at least help you. [Hands at his side tug him a little closer so they're body to body.]

[ Ben nods at that, pressing in against Steve with a small smile. ]

I'm sure she will be. She's lucky to have you. I'm lucky to.

[ One hand moves to lightly cup Steve's cheek as Ben's mouth brushes against Steve's. It's tender but not hesitant, finding so much between them easy and exciting at the same time. Taking his time, his tongue exploring Steve's mouth, the taste of the alcohol, just letting himself enjoy that in a single kiss.]

[Steve's in no rush, and really he's thankful that Ben even needed him at all. He likes to be wanted after all. It's part of why he does so well in the city. He feels like he can actually help people here. So as Ben draws in and kisses him, Steve reciprocates. The kiss is slow, but deep. He's grateful for the distraction, and he genuinely cares about Ben, too.

They have all realistically the whole night, so he's not in any rush himself. If they want to explore more or take their time, try out some more things, Steve is here for it. It takes his mind off of things as well. Slowly though, he starts back Ben up against the wall as his own hands find perch on his hip. He's enjoying the taste of him, but wanting to always push things just a little further.]

[ Just letting go in that moment is just what Ben needs. He needs to just forget about everything else and have nothing in the world but touch and kisses and the soft sounds between them.

And it's everything he needs.

Groaning softly as he lets Steve back him up. The sound is a soft rumble between them, his tongue caressing against Steve's. Barely breaking the kiss just to teasingly nip at Steve's bottom lip as his hands slide up and under Steve's shirt to splay over his back. ]

[He likes being needed and the way that Ben called him for this. He can happily oblige him, kissing deeper and feeling the way their tongues intertwine. Once he's able to press Ben against the wall, he moves from his mouth to his neck before he quickly finds that soft spot just below his ear.

Steve sucks gently there as the other's hands touch skin, and he hisses in a breath. He can feel his dick twitch in his pants as that want begins to build between them, familiar but not too pushing right now. He wants to remember his taste as his own hands start to tug on Ben's shirt, searching out more skin.]

[ Ben shivers, closing his eyes as he cants his head. Wanting Steve to touch him anywhere he wants, thinking about the marks that could be left and finding himself liking that idea as well. ]

I'm so glad you're here.

[ He whispers the words softly, shifting to help as he catches the hem of his shirt and pulls it up and over his head. Then tugging at Steve's shirt, wanting the same time to press up against him again. ]

[It's kind of cute how receptive Ben is. Steve isn't the most verbal when it comes to the people he cares about. He tries to show how much he cares by doing things like showing up when he's needed, but he always like how open and honest Ben is. One hand touches his face lightly as his shirt gets tossed to the side, and he kisses him a little deeper, trying to convey how much he likes being here.

He's always liked being with Ben, and he knows the other guy has gone through a lot. If he could be here, in any capacity, he would make sure of it. He just wanted Ben to know he was safe and cared for, even if he knew Ben was probably more capable than Steve was. All that really mattered was that they were here and what was going on between them.]
